Lamap Cultural Arts - Festival

Description
The local community of Lamap in South Malekula celebrates their culture, traditions and unique way of life with the 11th annual arts and cultural festival. Over two days you will witness pig exchange ceremony, traditional and contemporary skill displays, custom dancing and story-telling. Snorkel in our marine protected area and tast the delicious organic island cuisine. There is also an opportunity to visit the dugongs (sea cows) in nearby Gaspard Bay. In the evenings, relax with live entertainment from local string band music, and kava tasting.
