Ambrym Island - is Vanuatu's fifth largest island with a land mas of 678 square kilometers. This island is shaped of a triangle and is home  to the unique ROM dance, and the twin active lava lake volcanos. There are two airports on the island and a few anchorages. Ambrym Island has a population of more than 7,000 with more than 3 different languages spoken. Main tourist activity on Ambrym includes the twin active volcanos (Lava lake) Mt. Marum and Mt. Benbow with 3 different routes to trek to these volcanoes East trek, West trek, and the North trek. A must to see also is the unique ROM Dance and magic. The big lake at Dip Point (Lake Lonwolwol) in west Ambrym covers the first New Hebrides hospital that was built around 1800 by Dr Robert Lamb. Ambrym is also very popular for its fine carvings.
